Financial Management Information

All organisations, whether charitable or not, require accurate and timely financial information. Charities and other not-for-profit organisations, however, cannot always afford to employ somebody on a full time basis to provide this information.

Other organisations employ very competent book keepers, but are missing that vital management information that allows senior staff and the Trustees to make informed financial decisions.

Caritas Accountancy Services can provide: As part of this process, Caritas can also look to train the appropriate member of the accounts department to take on this role, as we realise that not only is the provision of this higher level of accounts reporting within a charity a complex task, but also one that is unlikely to have been undertaken by many accounts staff in the job market today.

This area also offers us an opportunity to work with auditors where appropriate, to provide meaningful management accounts at the year end, which they can audit in a truly independent way. In fact, we offer a service whereby we produce on behalf of the charity the full SORP compliant financial statements to be audited – thus saving the client money because it removes the need for the auditor to prepare the financial statements. The auditor is also happy because they maintain their independence!
